Belleview Avenue

This two-story arts and crafts style home was built in 1917, and is situated on a lot in the famous Ward Parkway neighborhood in Kansas City, Missouri. Homes in this area are reminiscent of another time and are grand in stature. It was important to reproduce the historic detailing and salvage as much as possible. Commemorating the existing craftsmanship and style were the owner’s priorities. While the home’s presentation to the street remains the same—the goal of the new kitchen was to improve flow and function to accommodate new ways of life. Big Cat Design also gave the owners additional space in the master bedroom suite and created an ensuite bath which did not previously exist.
